The 32nd anniversary of the Khojaly genocide was commemorated in Hungary

The 32nd anniversary of the Khojaly genocide was commemorated at the embassy.

The event started with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The victims of the Khojaly genocide were commemorated with a minute of silence.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Tahir Taghizade informed the participants about the Khojaly genocide, one of the bloodiest pages of the Garabagh conflict. He mentioned that President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev raised the Azerbaijani flag in the liberated Khojaly on October 15, 2023, and laid the cornerstone of the Khojaly Genocide Memorial on February 26, 2024. Ambassador emphasized the importance of the "Justice for Khojaly!" campaign launched by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in 2008 to bring the truths of Khojaly to the attention of the world community.

Later, the participants were shown the documentary film "13" dedicated to the missing persons of the Khojaly tragedy.
